Lower Promenade Deck

So popular with guests is the wrap-around teak promenade deck.

The Atrium

Fountain of the Sirens

The fountain offers spectacular views from many angles and measures 14.5 feet at the base and extends up to more than 26 feet.  It arrived on board in nineteen different sections and is composed of bronze and other materials.  It was designed by Fennus de Vlaming and is reminiscent of the Baroque period and inspired by Greek mythology.

Three basins resembling conch shells symbolize Triton (half man, half fish) who blew through the shells to stir up or calm the waters as he pleased.  Also found throughout the fountain are three dolphins, three rams heads, and three sirens.  The sirens are reputed to have fatally lured mariners to their deaths with melodious songs.

Escalators at the base of the Atrium provide access to and from the Main Deck embarkation lobby as well as staterooms.
Self service launderettes are available on most all guest accommodation decks.  This proves to be a particularly popular feature on longer voyages.
