Closing Thoughts

Located within the Explorations Café powered by the New York Times is this 17th century Italian bust.  It is of an Italian scholar done in Italian marble resembling mister de Vlaming, interior architect of the Statendam.

Statendam continues to offer spacious outdoor viewing areas.  These forward-looking decks are valuable whether Statendam is sailing in the harbor of Sydney, Australia or Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska.
Fine details abound throughout the Statendam everywhere from prints along stateroom corridors to pristinely accented lift lobbies.
In an industry of ever increasing ship tonnage, Statendam is a true gem as beautiful from the outside as is her interior.
