Aft of the Showroom at Sea on Lower Promenade Deck is Nieuw Amsterdam's casino.  The casino features five blackjack tables, one 'Fun 21' blackjack table, one American roulette table, one dice table, Bonus Let it Ride poker, Caribbean Stud poker, Three Card poker, touch screen poker table, and twenty-six slot machines.

Adjacent to the casino on the starboard side of the ship are the 65 seat Piano Bar and the 50 seat Casino Bar.  The Piano Bar, as traditional on other Holland America Line ships, is popular for guest requests and sing-a-longs.

The Casino Bar is an exciting and whimsical venue for those who would like to catch a popular event on television or catch up on sports news.  Located between the Piano Bar and Casino Bar is a metal barbecue 'Trionfi' which used to be located near the Casino on the Veendam but was removed when she received her full Signature of Excellence enhancements.  The barbecue is from the castle of Poggibonsi in Siena (Tuscany, Italy) and was fashionable in the 17th and 18th centuries at prominent Spanish palaces.  Steel ribs end in individual candlestick faces.  Coal was placed inside the ribs and the hot air escaped from the top.

The nightlife fun continues in the Northern Lights nightclub.  Northern Lights is one of the public areas that was designed by Petter Yran & Bjørn Storbraaten.  Guests will easily recognize the more contemporary look and feel of the Northern Lights nightclub compared to other fleetmates.

Proceeding forward from the Northern Lights is a winding corridor that sweeps guests amidships and takes them past some impressive works of art to peruse.  The 166 seat Queens Lounge and Culinary Arts Center is aft of Northern Lights and serves as an alternative entertainment venue to the Showroom at Sea..

Amidships on Lower Promenade Deck parallel to the Atrium are the Pinnacle Grill and Pinnacle Bar.  The 112 seat Pinnacle Grill features a rich selection of Sterling Silver Beef, seafood, and world class wines.  All are served with exquisite Bvlgari ® China, Riedel ® stemware, and Frette ® linens.

Debuting on the Nieuw Amsterdam in the Pinnacle Grill is the Master Chef's Table that includes an exclusive dinner for up to eighteen guests.  Each meal is enhanced with specially selected wine pairings by the ship's sommelier.  The evening includes seven courses served on signature Versace china, each personally delivered by a special culinary expert who will be the evening's host.

Across from the Pinnacle Grill is the Pinnacle Bar which seats 36 guests.  Guests may enjoy a glass of wine here either before or after dinner whether or not they are dining at the Pinnacle Grill.

Aft of the Pinnacle Bar is Nieuw Amsterdam's art gallery where guests can preview items that are available for purchase.

The 41 guest capacity Explorer's Lounge is an example of an area that is popular on all other Holland America Line ships.  This is an elegant and classy area in which to enjoy the ship's string trio and other classic items traditionally offered here.

Introduced as new on the Eurodam is the 14 seat Explorer's Bar.   This offers convenient drink service for the Explorer's Lounge and for guests to sit, people watch, and make conversation with the bartender in a familiar environment.
