Lido Deck

Located completely forward on Lido Deck are Volendam fitness facilities.  Volendam received a complete upgrade in terms of the Greenhouse Spa & Salon during her 'Signature of Excellence' upgrades.  The Greenhouse Spa concept was first initiated aboard the Vista Class ships and then rolled out fleetwide.

The gymnasium is very well equipped with the most modern cardiovascular and weight training equipment.  Flat panel televisions are located throughout the gymnasium and personal monitors are also located on the treadmills.

The Greenhouse Spa also offers services such as massage therapy, skin therapy, exotic body rituals, water therapies, and hair / nail services.

The thermal suite is available for guests to use on a per-day basis with a surcharge.  Located within the thermal suite are heated ceramic lounge chairs reminiscent of Turkish baths.  There is also a hydrotherapy pool with warm, therapeutic sea water.

Amidships on Lido Deck is Volendam's main pool.  Poolside casual dining is available at the Terrace Grill which serves items such as tacos, hot dogs, fries, and hamburgers.
Poolside sculptures are a Holland America Line on most all ships.  Volendam's sculpture is that of white sided Pacific dolphins that were designed by artist Suzanna Holt.  They were finished in bronze and depict the "war dance" which is a feeding frenzy that takes place during pursuit of tuna fish.
Guests may enjoy refreshments poolside at the Lido Bar.  A live band also plays poolside for those leisurely days at sea.
The Lido Restaurant is located aft on Lido Deck and serves as Volendam's casual dining venue.  The Lido Restaurant is also a staple aboard all Holland America Line ships.

The Lido Restaurant opens early for casual buffet-style breakfast and offers favorites such as fresh-squeezed orange juice, made-to-order omelets, pancakes, natural cereals, and fresh fruits.

Each day for lunch in the Lido Restaurant, a new theme is presented of foods from around the World.  Examples of such include Asian stir-fry, Mexican dishes, pizza, gourmet sandwiches, and an extensive salad bar.

Should guests not wish to dine in the main dining room, they may do so casually in the Lido Restaurant.  Made-to-order entrées are available and served tableside.
Guests may dine indoors or head outside at a table around the Sea View Pool on Lido Deck aft.
