Mariner Deck - Deck 6

rh09_060.jpg (122732 bytes) rh09_217.jpg (123246 bytes) Completely forward on Mariner Deck is the Broadway Melodies Theater.  As guests proceed aft, they proceed through Rhapsody of the Seas' boutiques including a jewelry & gift shop, fashion & formal wear shop, liquor & sundries shop, logo ship, perfume shop, and the ship's photo gallery.

The promenade of shops on board creates the feel of walking an elegant metropolis avenue with opportunities to window shop along the way.  Punctuating this elegance are works of art by British artist Wendy Ramshaw titled 'Charge-Fast Forward' and Voyage Under Sail'.  Both works are of brass and other mixed media.  Ramshaw appropriately comes from a seafaring family and is fascinated by maps and plans.  Furthermore she is inspired by the machine aesthetic and finds her ideas in the modern World around her.

The Photo Gallery showcases guests' photos that have been taken throughout the voyage.  Additional photo services are available such as the transfer of digital images to disc and camera items available for sale.

An addition to Rhapsody of the Seas since her original introduction is Ben & Jerry's®.  Guests can indulge in ice cream creations, sundaes, shakes, or smoothies.

A traditional venue on every Royal Caribbean International ship is the Schooner Bar with its truly nautical theme and intimate feel, seating 145 guests.  Every element and work of art within the Schooner Bar further creates a sense of the wonder and magic that is a seagoing voyage.

One of the most striking pieces in the Schooner Bar is the large rig produced by Lyngør Seilmakerverksted of Norway.  Also located here is ship model 'Sovereign of the Seas' by Norwegian creator Gustav Lochstoer.  Lochstoer and his ancestors have all played an active part in the Navy.  He started by studying ships and the building of models and that quickly became his full time occupation.

Parallel to the Schooner Bar is the 100 guest capacity Moonlight Bay Lounge which is very much multi purpose for a wide variety of activities both day and night.
