Plaza Deck

Cruise ship guests have come to know that most essential services lie at the base of the ship's atrium.  It is no exception aboard the Mercury where the guest relations desk is fittingly located.

Other essential services are also available just steps away, such as the shore excursions desk and ship's bank.

The Grand Foyer

The opulence of the Grand Foyer welcomes guests on board and leads them to the host of other public areas throughout Mercury.  Many elements throughout the Grand Foyer simply complement Mercury's celestial theme.

The phrase 'Wine Poured Upon the Sea' leaves room for guests to ponder their own meaning of the expression as they ascend to the next deck.

Anchored in the center of the Grand Foyer is a celestial sculpture entitled, 'Astral Laboratory' by American sculptor Larry Kirkland.  This is a replica of an instrument called an armillary sphere which, in ancient times, showed the positions of the equator.

Also creating a dramatic effect in this sweeping area is a four-story glass waterfall featuring changing fiber optic images, titled the 'Aurora Waterfall'.

Winding staircases frame the Grand Foyers and ultimately lead guests up to Panorama Deck where they can get a bird's eye view of all of the activity below.

Forward on Plaza Deck are guest accommodations introduced by interestingly wide corridors.
While not possible to access from the Grand Foyers, additional public spaces exist aft on Plaza Deck.  The 40 seat Champagne Bar provides refreshment for diners entering and exiting the Manhattan Restaurant's lower level.

Manhattan Restaurant seats 1,120 guests and offers a dramatic aft view of the Mercury's wake.
Manhattan sports a contemporary décor with impressive primary blues and reds, complemented by chrome and gold tones.
When not being inspired by the sweeping aft views, guests can enjoy the musicians that play live during dinner times.
