The Maasdam is the second sister ship of the very successful Statendam class of Holland America Line.  She incorporates the timeless, classic elegance of Holland America Line's history and yet has remained relevant for today's discriminating traveler.

The Maasdam was christened by performing star June Allyson.  June Allyson has starred in performances ranging from 'Sing Out the News' in 1938 to 'That's Entertainment III' in 1994.  June Allyson also was featured as a guest on 'Larry King Live' on 04 July, 2001.  June Allyson's exciting history of performance is a true complement to Maasdam as she treats guests to World travel.

Much of the interior design of the Maasdam is the work of Frans Dingemans of VFD Architects located in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Maasdam has traveled around the World and she can treat guests to the most stately of Global experiences.  That said, she is also a vibrant and exciting ship upon which families and young couples can enjoy destinations such as the Caribbean and Europe.

Tradition and culture abound with the Maasdam as she is the fifth ship in Holland America Line's history to bear the name.  Her interior theme is a salute to the historical Dutch East and West India companies throughout the 17th through 19th centuries.

At the time of this publication, the Maasdam pursues voyages to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Canada & New England, and Europe.  She is very well known for her extended round-trip voyages from North America to Europe in the Summer season for the US.
